Fellow Designation Defined

Fellow is the highest and most prestigious membership status that may be attained by members who have achieved outstanding levels of accomplishments exhibited through their education, experience, and background.
Those seeking the Fellow designation must provide supporting documentation, including photocopies of credentials, résumé, current licenses, and other necessary documentation.

Steps:

  • In order to become a Fellow, the candidate must have the appropriate credentials in his or her specialty and be a Diplomate of AAFR for at least two years.
  • The candidate must have completed 400 hours of postgraduate training in functional rehabilitation with approved programs
  • The candidate must pass a written fellowship exam and achieve a passing grade of 70%
  • Applicant must be an active member of AAFR

AAFR Diplomate Designation is a prestigious credential that all functional rehabilitation professionals should strive to attain. It is based on measurable skills, knowledge, experience, education, and training.

Diplomate Requirements:

  • A current license to practice in your state or current certification in your specialty (if applicable)
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the field of integrative healthcare
  • Completed a minimum of 300 hours of postgraduate training in functional rehabilitation
  • Application is based on education, experience, knowledge, skill, and training
  • Applicant must be an active member of AAFR

AAFR Certificate Designation is a sub-specialty credential that all functional rehabilitation professionals should attain. It is based on measurable skills, knowledge, experience, education, and training.

Certificate Requirements:

  • A current license to practice in your state or current certification in your specialty (if applicable)
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the field of integrative healthcare
  • Completed a minimum of 200 hours of postgraduate training in functional rehabilitation
  • Application is based on education, experience, knowledge, skill, and training
  • Applicant must be an active member of AAFR
